Therapy in English
It goes without saying that clients from all cultural backgrounds and ethnicities are welcome in my practice.
I am happy to offer my services in English to expats and other international residents living in the Dresden area.
Upon request, all forms and information sheets in my practice will be provided in English.
My background: Although I am not a native English speaker, I have acquired advanced English skills through various experiences. I have completed multiple stays in North America, including a six-month position as a visiting scholar at Ohio State University in Columbus. As I have been a member of academia and the scientific community for 11+ years, English has become a regular working language for me. I have also previously obtained a C2 level language certificate (IELTS). In addition, I have gained clinical experience working with non-German-speaking clients within my previous position as a psychotherapist at Dresden University Hospital.

I offer both psychotherapy and counseling.
Please note the differences between the two:
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is aimed at individuals who are affected by - or suspect to be affected by - mental illness.
Psychotherapy in my practice may be covered by (non-statutory) health insurance.
Counseling
Counseling is aimed at individuals who are not affected by mental illness and who seek support with general life challenges (e.g., conflicts in the workplace, upcoming life changes, desire to improve stress management).
Counseling is not covered by health insurance.
